Our Story
A simple melody. Many voices. And a whole lot of heart.

Chapter One
A Voice Worth Sharing
LAMI Outreach CIC was born from a simple but powerful moment of connection through music, shared between colleagues who believed in the power of community.
The idea took shape within a team of dedicated social workers who shared a love of singing. Together, they began bringing music into a local care home owned by Swansea County Council, with the warmth and encouragement of colleagues who saw the joy it brought to residents. From the very start, it was a team effort, many voices, one shared purpose.
Chapter Two
The Karaoke Spark
Inspired by the idea, the care home manager supported the initiative by purchasing a karaoke machine. What followed were uplifting wellbeing sessions filled with popular songs from the 1980s, laughter, dancing, and shared memories. The atmosphere throughout the home became vibrant and joyful, creating moments of genuine connection between staff and residents.

The moment everything changed

Chapter Three
The Response That Inspired a Movement
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Residents looked forward to the sessions, staff felt encouraged and energised, and management witnessed the powerful impact music and companionship could have on wellbeing and community spirit.
Chapter Four
LAMI Outreach CIC Is Born
These experiences inspired the creation of LAMI Outreach CIC, a platform dedicated to spreading this same positive energy to other communities and care homes across South Wales.
Through music, outreach, and meaningful engagement, LAMI Outreach CIC aims to bring people together, uplift spirits, and create memorable experiences that promote wellbeing and inclusion.
